Privacy Policy

AnalystForge is a trading name of a sole operator based in Australia. The operator is Peeter Mirlieb, and is the entity responsible for the personal information described here. There is no separate privacy team: email hello@analystforge.app and it reaches the person who can act on it.

We collect two kinds of information.

Details you give us:

• your name;
• your email address;
• the exam window you are aiming at;
• your study preferences — the days you plan to study and the hours you are targeting each week.

Study activity the product records as you use it:

• which questions you attempted and whether you got them right;
• your flashcard reviews;
• your mock exam results;
• when your study sessions started and ended.

We do not collect your card number. Payments go to Stripe, and card details never reach us — see section 4.

The study data is not analytics we keep because we can. It is what the product runs on.

Your attempts and reviews drive the adaptive queue, so that weak topics come back around and questions you have already mastered stop consuming your evenings. Your exam window and study preferences drive the 16-week planner, so the plan works backwards from your date rather than from a generic calendar. All of it feeds the readiness score, which is only useful if it reflects what you have actually done.

We also use your email address to send you transactional messages — account confirmation, password resets, purchase receipts, and occasional notices about the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We do use service providers to run the product, and your information passes through them for that purpose only:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the service or someone’s safety.

Your account details and study activity are stored in Supabase in the Sydney region (ap-southeast-2). We hold data in Australia where we can.

Some of our providers operate overseas. Stripe, Resend, Sentry and Vercel process data outside Australia, which means your information may be handled in other countries under their own safeguards. We take reasonable steps to use providers that handle personal information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, but we cannot control the law of every country they operate in.

We use cookies and browser storage for one purpose: keeping you signed in. Supabase sets a session cookie so the app knows who you are between page loads, and we cache a small copy of your profile in your browser so the interface can render without waiting on the network.

There is no advertising on this site, no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and a few steps of the purchase flow (for example, that someone pressed the Buy button). It uses no third-party cookies and does not track you across other sites. Vercel identifies a visit by a hash of the incoming request and discards it after 24 hours. We strip query strings from the pages it records, and we never send it your name, email or account identifier.

Sentry sees technical details only when something breaks — see section 4. If any of this changes, we will say so here and update the date at the top before it goes live.

We keep your account details and study history for as long as your account exists. Because purchased access does not expire, that can be a long time — an account you come back to two exam windows later still has your history in it, which is the point.

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information from our live systems. We do not currently keep our own separate backup copies of the database; if that changes, we will say so here, and deleted information will then drop out of those backups on their normal rotation. We keep the minimum record of a transaction that Australian tax and business law requires us to keep, and Stripe keeps its own payment records under its obligations.

You can see and change your name, email, exam window and study preferences yourself in the app.

For anything beyond that — a copy of everything we hold about you, or a correction you cannot make yourself — email hello@analystforge.app from the address on your account. We will confirm it is you, and respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

If we decline to correct something, we will tell you why in writing, and you can ask us to attach a statement noting that you disagree.

Email hello@analystforge.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you and then delete your account and your study history.

Deletion is permanent and it ends your access, including access you paid for. We cannot restore a deleted account, so if you only want to stop receiving email, say that instead and we will do that rather than delete.

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email hello@analystforge.app with the word “privacy” in the subject line. Tell us what happened. We will acknowledge it and respond within 30 days with what we found and what we are doing about it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC can be reached at oaic.gov.au. You do not need our permission to do that, and you can go to them directly if you would rather not deal with us.

If we change what we collect, why, or who we disclose it to, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change materially affects you, we will email the address on your account.
