Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 September 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you use AnalystForge. We have tried to write them the way we write everything else here: plainly, and without hiding anything important in the middle of a long sentence. If something below is unclear, email us and we will explain it.
01Who we are
AnalystForge is a trading name of a sole operator based in Australia. The operator is Peeter Mirlieb. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the service.
You can reach us at hello@analystforge.app. That address is monitored by the founder, not a support queue.
02What the service is
AnalystForge is a digital study system for CFA Level I. It is a web application containing a question bank, flashcards, mock exams, a formula guide and a 16-week study planner. It covers Level I only.
The service is digital. There is nothing to ship, and nothing is posted to you.
03Your account
You need an account to use AnalystForge. You must give accurate details when you create one, including an email address you can actually receive mail at, because that address is how we identify your purchase and how we contact you about it.
Your account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account while you control it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction to buy access.
04What you get when you buy
Paid access to AnalystForge is a one-time purchase. When you buy, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the service and its content for your own study.
That access is permanent. There is no renewal, no expiry and no second invoice. If you defer a sitting, or sit again in a later window, your access is still there.
The licence is to use the service, not to own the content. You may not sell, rent, share, sublicense or otherwise pass your access on to anyone else, and you may not redistribute the content in any form.
05What you may not do
Specifically, you agree not to:
- share your login with other people, or use one account to serve more than one candidate;
- copy, republish, resell or redistribute questions, explanations, flashcards, mock exams or any other content from the service;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download or otherwise systematically extract the question bank or any other part of the service, by any automated means;
- use the service, or content taken from it, to build or train a competing product or a machine-learning model;
- try to break, overload, probe or get around the security of the service, or access data that is not yours;
- use the service for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaches the rules of CFA Institute or of an exam you are sitting.
06Our content
The questions, explanations, flashcards, mock exams, formula guide, planner, software and design are our intellectual property, or are used by us with permission. Buying access does not transfer any of that to you.
Anything you write inside the service — your notes, your flags — stays yours. We use it only to run the service for you.
07What we do not promise
We do not guarantee that you will pass. No study product can, and we would rather say so here than let you infer otherwise.
AnalystForge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with CFA Institute. CFA® and Chartered Financial Analyst® are registered trademarks of CFA Institute. Nothing we publish is approved by them, and our content is our own reading of the curriculum.
We work to keep the content accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors or that it matches every detail of the curriculum as it stands on the day you sit. If you find a mistake, tell us — we would rather fix it than defend it.
We also do not promise uninterrupted availability. The service may be down for maintenance, or because something upstream of us has failed.
08The free tier
There is a free tier, and it is permanent. It gives you ten questions per topic.
We may change what the free tier includes, or how it works, as the product changes. What we will not do is take away access you have paid for. A change to the free tier never reduces a purchased licence.
09Payment, price and tax
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — it goes to Stripe, not to us. Stripe handles it under their own terms and security standards.
Prices are shown on the pricing page and are in Australian dollars. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout at the time you buy.
We are not registered for GST, because we are below the A$75,000 registration threshold. That means prices contain no GST component and we cannot issue you a tax invoice showing GST. You will get a plain receipt for what you paid.
10Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund from the date of purchase, with no reason required, and that sits on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. The detail is on the refund policy page, which forms part of these terms.
11Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, it wins over anything below that would conflict with it.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Among other things, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, for lost study time, or for an exam result; and where our liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited at our option to resupplying the service or to refunding what you paid for it.
Where a consumer guarantee applies to a service and we are entitled to limit our liability under section 64A of the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
12Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break section 5 — sharing logins, scraping the bank, attacking the service, or using it unlawfully. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you what the problem is first and give you a chance to fix it.
If we suspend an account for abuse, we are not obliged to refund it. If we close the service down entirely, we will give you as much notice as we reasonably can, and you can ask us for a copy of your data before it goes.
You can stop using the service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account — see the privacy policy.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes or the law does. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
If a change materially affects your rights, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. A change to these terms will never revoke access you have already paid for.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts able to hear appeals from them. This does not take away any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
15Contact
Questions about these terms go to hello@analystforge.app. We read every email.
